Why We Exist
I didn't set out to start a company. I was a software developer, and my first job happened to be on Odoo.
That's where I noticed something most businesses quietly struggle with: their tools don't talk to each other. I kept seeing the same pattern. Students tracked in spreadsheets, invoices in a separate app, scheduling handled through endless messages. Three people doing manual work that one connected system could handle.
Odoo clicked because it solves the problem at the root: one platform where everything connects. I went deeper, built on it, and eventually moved to South Korea, where very few people knew what Odoo could actually do.
But knowing the tool wasn't enough. I'd worked in environments, and been part of communities, where influence was used to control rather than empower. Where one-sided persuasion made it harder for people to make informed decisions.
That taught me what I didn't want to build, and what I did. A company where transparency isn't a marketing word. We show what Odoo can and can't do, recommend a plan with trade-offs made explicit, and refine as evidence comes in. Goals set together. Delivery led by us.
That's what LanterNode means.
Lantern: customer-first guidance with transparency.
Nodes: connected apps under Odoo that make a business run as one.
We're here so teams can stop fighting their tools and spend time on what actually matters.
We chose Odoo for its product and company culture: team-led ownership, open collaboration, and a long-term mindset. Read more in our first blog about Odoo Experience 2025.
